Florida Power & Light announced Friday it has reached a settlement to freeze its electricity base rate through 2012, allowing only fuel prices and other parts of the bill to fluctuate.
The decision means that FPL will not only embrace the January rate decision it had blasted as politically motivated but will not challenge it or seek another rate increase through 2012."
