Duke Energy would consider buying a piece of the V.C. Summer nuclear plant Scana is building with Santee Cooper if Santee Cooper decides to sell part of its share.

Duke’s CFO Lynn Good, speaking Tuesday at an electric and gas leaders conference in New York, said Duke has not been approached about a partnership in the plant. But Duke would consider it.
“We believe regional cooperation is absolutely the way to go,” she said. “I think we would look at a share of the plant, if it became available.”
